SAINT NICHOLAS SCHOOL
Junior High School

Collaboration and Leadership
The Saint Nicholas Catholic School Junior High program is designed to foster an atmosphere where students can fully realize how much God loves them and develop their moral judgment as Christ-like citizens. Junior high students are provided opportunities to collaborate with each other and develop their leadership skills. The goal is to prepare students as they make the transition to one of the many prestigious Bay area college prep high schools they will attend.

Data-driven, Individualized Math Classes
Students take placements assessments in both the spring and fall time. These assessments include STAR math, placement test, and ALEKs. These classes may be grade level or accelerated.

Nearly 100% Acceptance Rate to Prestigious Bay-area Catholic High Schools
We provide HSPT support and have Bay-area High School admission directors speak with our 8th graders

Advisory Periods with Teachers
In Advisory, the junior high students will meet biweekly with their advisory teacher. In this advisory period, students will check in with each other and discuss one lifelong learning skill. After the initial meeting, students will attend “office hours” of other teachers to receive extra support.

Morning Academic Support
Morning academic support is from Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays from 7:00 am to 7:45. Students from 6-8 grade may attend to get support from teachers.

Outreach Opportunities
Our students have many opportunities for community outreach, including Lunch Bunch with Parish seniors, Compassion week opportunities, and more.
