Our Campus

 

Nestled on 17 hilltop acres, St. Nicholas School provides a nurturing environment where students are inspired to learn and to serve.  Our beautiful campus features:

  • State of the art Science Lab with dedicated lecture and lab areas.  The experiment area includes a greenhouse, incubator, computers, safety shower and sinks and eight lab tables complete with microscopes.

  • State of the art Technology Lab used daily by staff and students alike equipped with the latest generation of Intel-based  iMacs, HP color laser printers, Digital Liquid Processing (DLP) projector and a TV monitor with access to Catholic Television Network’s (CTN) cable-TV broadcast.

  • 16,000 volume Library.  Centrally located on campus, the library is accessible to all students and includes a group instruction area.

  • Dedicated TK & Kindergarten space for the comfort of our youngest students with a bathroom, an attached kitchenette and a special TK&K courtyard with access to the school’s various playgrounds and sports fields.

  • Newly renovated classrooms ~ spacious and well-lit for first through eighth grade students, designed around a central quad fostering a sense of community.  Each classroom is equipped with  mini computer labs, Elmo document readers, DLP projectors and a TV monitor with access to CTN cable-TV broadcast.St. Nicholas Catholic School develops Christ-like citizens who actively live out their faith and are prepared to succeed in the future.

  • Kevin Kannengeiser Activity Center, our gymnasium, houses a full sized basketball court, industrial-sized kitchen and stage with surround sound.  Many of the school’s memorable events take place here including monthly student-led liturgies , assemblies, after-school sporting events and theatrical productions.

  • 17 Acres of outdoor play areas and fields, where students are encouraged to explore and experience the wonders of nature.  The school grounds include a baseball field, soccer/football field, blacktop areas and new play structures.

  • The Garden of Learning established to support science learning and to beautify Mary's Grotto.

  • Multi-use center, for small classroom learning groups, parent meetings, and after-school activities with an adjacent day care facility.

  • Chapel and youth center serving as the pastor’s residence and as a chapel for mass & reconciliation, and a meeting space for class retreats and for the Los Altos Youth Ministry Program.
